Academia Brasileira de Letras

The building, an replica of the Trianon of Versalles, was built to house the French delegation at the International Comemorative Exhibition of the Centennial Brazilian Independence, in 1922, and later bestowed by the French Government so that it became the head office of the Brazilian Academy of Letters.

Amsterdam Sauer Museum of Rare Minerals and Precious Stones

The Amsterdam Sauer Museum of Rare Minerals and Precious Stones, located in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro, is the most detailed and complete private collection of rough and cut gemstones museum in South America.  The set of over three thousand rough and cut gemstones, is the result of almost seventy years of research and dedication of Jules Sauer, one of the exponents of Brazilian gemology.

Duque de Caxias Pantheon

Earth Sciences Museum

Inaugurated in 1907, its mineral, rock, ore, meteorite and fossil collection offers the visitors a rare opportunity of appreciating either the beautiful natural shapes of the crystals or the scientific information on several geological materials, both local and international.


 

Edison Carneiro Folklore National Center
